A lot of people will say wearing a bald cap to a job interview is mistake. A smart man also once said “The worst men often give the best advice.” I am that worst man giving you the best advice. Below is a list of alternative outfits to make YOU stand out from the crowd.

Varsity Sports Jacket

Interviewers love a well-rounded individual. Here’s a known secret about job interviews: if a company is bringing you in to see you in person, you’re already qualified for the job. That’s why they’re giving you their time. They want to know more about YOU as a person and what other qualities you may bring to their company. That’s where the varsity jacket you’ve overpaid for comes in.

Show them your brains and your brawn by donning this to your in-person interview. If they question your seriousness, let them know you could’ve played Division 1 if you really wanted to.

Two Ties

This is exclusive to the fellas out there. Wearing two ties simultaneously is ideal for those applying for something like marketing agency or a creative field. Creative people love humor. They also love someone who gets it. This will show them that you, indeed, get it.

Bald Cap

Stress = Experience. Stress = Hair Falling Out. No Hair = Maximum Stress. No Hair = Maximum Experience.

Flawless logic.

Mimic the Hairline of the Interviewer

Mirroring is a well understood technique to get people to warm up to you. Essentially, mirroring is just mimicking the person that you’re with. This could mean their posture, manner of speaking, or even their breathing pattern.

Why not mimic their hairline?

By copying their hairline, the interview will see themselves in you and be more than eager to hire you and take them under your wing.

First impressions do matter. And nothing makes a more immediate first impression than your outfit and hairstyle. Master these things and you will finally master your career. I’ll see you at the top.
